Mirza Koochak Khan-e Jangali was born in 1259
(solar year), his father was
Mirza Bozorg-e Rashti. He began his studies in Tehran and Rasht’s theological
schools but after some times he joined consitutionalists and even the campaigners.
In 1329 (A.H) or 1289 (solar year), Mirza Koochak
Khan accompanied by some
of his comrades went to Astarabad City to fight against Mohammed Ali Shah.
In 1293(solar year), Mirza Koochak khan went to
Gilan Province
(North of Iran) and with his friends established the Islamic Union
Population and for not being arrested, he resided in the Jungles
near Rasht City. But after sometimes, many people joined in. He
gathered some
of his friends and began his movement. He fought
with countries like England and Russia and continued his aim
up to martyrdom.
Governmental
forces entered Rasht with surrender of Khaloo
Qorban to Sardar Sepah. They followed partisans because there
were no conclusion on discussions for peace. Some forces were
scattered, some others surrendered and some were killed. Mirza
went to forest in order to gather scattered forces, but he died because
of the cold weather. When enemies found his corpse, cut his head
and represented it among people. Finally Khaloo Qorban took
Mirza’s head for Reza Khan in order to show his servitude.
Mirza Koochak Khan Jangali was
a brave man who stood against
foreigners’ influence.
