Participating of 30 millions of Iranian people on Presidential elections was a revolutionary and religious epic which gave prestige to Islam and Muslims and established an elevated ban against enemies’ plots.
This great, glorious, sweet, precious, unique and incomparable phenomena in the history of the Islamic Revolution was a response to the Islamic system’s motto and showed unity and alliance of Iran’s nation and all of us must be thankful for these holy gifts.

President Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Khatami was elected as the fifth president of the Islamic Republic of Iran in May 1997 elections by gaining 20,078,170 votes, almost 70 percent of the votes cast.
